GENERAL SUMMARY

Assists Operations Coordinators and the Airport Operations Department in any day-to-day tasks or special events. Conducts inspections of the terminal and airfield, reporting any irregularities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

  • Conducts perimeter gate and fence line inspections to assist the Airport Authority in ensuring compliance with both FAA and TSA regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures the ramp area is safe from a hazmat spill (Jet Fuel).
  • Performs Jet Bridge and sign inspections to ensure unleased jet bridges are available, clean, and up to the standards required to facilitate customer movement.
  • Assists in ensuring the airport is operated in accordance with all established rules, regulations, and criteria of federal and local governments and other policies.
  • Prepares detailed daily reports of occurrences and actions taken using various record logs, and disseminates information to others as needed.
  • Provides escorts into secured areas.
  • Creates and distributes the Ramp Safety Advisory to communicate safety reminders and other information to the ramp community.
  • Monitors and reports pavement conditions of sidewalks and the public roadways during winter weather events.
  • Performs related work as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience

  • 6 months+ training beyond High School in Aviation or Business Management
  • Previous related work experience preferred. Must be able to work 20 hours per week. Must have valid US work authorization at the time of the Co-op.

Required Licenses or Certifications

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license, in good standing
